Had dinner and the food is the best in Austin. It felt like home cooked comfort. I will be coming back for trying more. Everything here is "Halal"/ "Kosher"
One feedback- please update pricing for your in store menu books so that the price matches to your online menu. I noticed the difference yesterday after I paid the bill.

Absolutely loved our visit to Himalayan Flavor! The staff greeted us warmly, handled our customizations without any fuss, and served up a Chicken Thali that was bursting with authentic flavor. Great food, great vibes, highly recommend!

In my need of some flavor popping Indian cuisine, I came across this restaurant in my Google search. With no prior knowledge or checking reviews, I blindly ordered from this place. I wrote in my vegan needs on the order I placed via phone, and later I received a call from a worker making sure she understood my needs and gave me suggestions. I ordered two Himalayan dishes (Himalayan Naan Special and Himalayan Style Fried Rice). My order arrived when expected. It was hot and steamy! I took my first bite and my taste buds went wild! Oh my word! The first small bite of my rice dish exceeded all of my expectations. No grain, vegetable, cashew or anything else was left behind. Im addicted. So much so that I'm ordering the exact same dish today (2/15/26). Im adding an appetizer, Gobi Manchurian, today! Im looking forward to exploring more of the menu.
Update as of 2/15/26...I received my food and was so ready to enjoy the wonderful flavors and taste I took pleasure in on yesterday. I ordered the exact same. This time I wanted a level 2 spice level. Im sad to say, my food was a disappointment. The taste was completely different than yesterday's. The rice cashews and vegetables were burnt, which caused the entire dish to taste burnt. The Naan bread was to be filled with potatoes but wasn't. It had sweet peas instead and very minimum. The only thing I can say that gave me flavor was the Gobi. I spent over $30 for this meal and it wasn't satisfactory. I was super excited to be able to have this dish again thinking it would be the exact same as yesterday. Food consistency is vital to customer loyalty. My rating is changing from 5 to 3.

Tried the vegetarian thali and I’m so glad I did, it was amazing. Also, I’ve been looking all over Austin for laphing, and this is literally the first place I’ve found it. It was so good — super fresh, full of flavor, and exactly what I was hoping for.
The whole place just has a nice & welcoming vibe. If you’ve been wanting to try something different, definitely give this spot a shot. I’m already planning my next visit.

We tried Himalayan Flavor after seeing it in the Community Impact paper and we enjoyed trying a variety of new dishes. The jhool laphing was our favorite of the foods we tried but it was all delicious. The waitress was also helpful with ensuring none of the dishes we were unfamiliar with had any allergens in them.

The food and service was amazing! Our first time here, we tried the butter chicken, shrimp korma, lamb tandoori, and chicken tikka masala. It was all superb, perfectly seasoned and delicious. We will definitely be back!

I’ve been here twice, because I don’t live in the area, but I work in the area occasionally, every time I’m in town and I have the time I will be stopping by. The food is so good and the staff is so nice, especially the waitress, she’s very helpful and attentive, but not overly so, she’s very good at her job. Last time I ordered the Vegetable Pakora (so good and crispy), the Himalayan Flavor Special Naan (the waitress recommended this and she’s right, it’s really good), and the Malai Kofta (rich and flavorful sauce with soft dumplings that held their shape well and it comes with rice). This time (and what’s pictured) I got the Vegetable Pakora (I’m so addicted to this dish, it’s so good and crispy, comes with two delicious dipping sauces and I love a sauce), the Himalayan Flavor Special Naan (I am also now addicted to this, sooo good, highly recommend, I’ve included a picture of what’s inside it, it’s cheese and potatoes, to warm it back up, put it in the oven at 350 for about 7 mins and it’ll be exactly like it was just served to you), and I got the Chana Masala (such a good tomato sauce, so savory and delicious, really warmed my soul and will be perfect for the colder months coming up and it comes with yummy rice). Thanks for another delicious meal, see y’all soon <3

Updated 2.25.26. The samosa chat appetizer is phenomenal. That's the pic immediately following the menu pics. Next, the butter chicken. Forgot what the last pic is. Damn. This is all amazing!
